EvoWorld.io Evolution Guide: The Early Levels and How Not to Die in Them

Published · 1 min read

Fly to bee to bird

The fly eats the small particles on the ground. Nothing much hunts you yet, so eat fast and stay near the surface of the water — that is where the next level's food is. The bee and the early birds eat the flies and insects around them; from here on, every player one level below you is food and every player one level above is death.

The top bar is the whole game

The bar at the top lists what you can eat and what eats you at your current evolution. It changes every time you level. Read it each time; the map does not tell you which creature is which until it is close.

Water and oxygen

Every creature has a water bar; aquatic creatures have an oxygen bar instead of the reverse. Both drain steadily. A flier dips into a lake to drink; a swimmer surfaces to breathe. The bars are the most common cause of death in the middle levels because players are watching for predators and not for the red bar in the corner.

Abilities

Each evolution has one ability on click or Space: a dash, a bite, a dive, a burst of speed. The dash is for escaping, not attacking, at the low levels. Save it for the moment a predator's name appears on screen.

When to evolve

You evolve automatically at the level threshold, and your predators change instantly. If you are in a crowded area when it happens, the creature that was ignoring you a second ago may now be hunting you. Reach the threshold in a quiet corner of the map.
