Heart Star Unblocked — Play Free Online
Arcade and ActionPlay Heart Star free online on EvoWorld, guiding two companions through color-coded puzzle platforming levels directly in your web browser.
Heart Star unblocked: play Heart Star online free right here in your browser — no download, no sign-up, works on a school Chromebook.
Heart Star is a cooperative-style retro puzzle-platformer where you navigate two distinct companions across tricky obstacle courses. You control a red companion and a blue companion, alternating between them to solve spatial riddles and guide both heroes safely to their matching exit pads. The game runs directly in your web browser on EvoWorld with no download or installation required.
What is Heart Star?
Heart Star challenges players to clear compact, single-screen puzzle chambers through teamwork and color coordination. While one companion rests, the other moves across platforms that respond only to specific colors. The core loop requires you to switch active control back and forth, using each hero to create bridges, trigger pathways, and ferry the partner across hazardous gaps.
Key features
- Dual-character coordination: Alternate control between two unique heroes to navigate intricate platforming puzzles.
- Color-shifting collision: Red obstacles support only the red companion, blue obstacles support only the blue companion, and neutral platforms support both.
- Character stacking: Jump one character directly onto the head of the other to gain extra vertical height.
- Single-screen layouts: Every chamber fits completely on the display so you can plan routes before moving.
- Instant room restarts: Quickly reset a chamber at any moment if a character gets stuck or touches a hazard.
- Browser-native performance: Lightweight design loads immediately on desktop computers and laptops without special software.
How to play
- Examine the chamber: Survey the puzzle room to locate red surfaces, blue surfaces, spike hazards, and both goal bases.
- Advance the first companion: Move your active character across matching platforms toward a safe holding position.
- Switch active control: Swap to the second companion and guide them through their corresponding color route.
- Stack for extra height: Position one character underneath a tall ledge so the other character can hop on top and reach higher ground.
- Reach both goals: Guide both characters onto their respective landing pads simultaneously to finish the stage and unlock the next chamber.
Controls
| Action | Keyboard |
|---|---|
| Move left or right | A and D or Left and Right arrow keys |
| Jump onto platforms | W, Up arrow, or Space |
| Switch active companion | C or Down arrow |
| Restart current chamber | R |
Color-switching mechanics
The defining mechanic of Heart Star is its split-color collision system. Red blocks and platforms are completely solid for the red character, but the blue character passes straight through them. Similarly, blue structures are solid only for the blue character, while the red character falls through them freely. Neutral purple surfaces remain solid for both characters at all times.
Crucially, the inactive companion always counts as a solid platform. Even if a character cannot stand on a specific colored block, they can stand securely on top of their partner. Master players take advantage of this by parking one companion on a solid platform and using them as a stepping stone or elevator to carry the other companion over dangerous gaps and tall walls.
Tips and strategy
- Plan your route before jumping: Take a few seconds at the start of each stage to identify which platforms will vanish beneath your feet, preventing accidental falls into spikes.
- Use your partner as an elevator: Whenever a ledge appears too high for a standard jump, move your partner underneath the wall first and leap off their head.
- Clear paths before switching: Avoid parking a character in narrow doorways or choke points where they might block the partner from passing through.
- Respect spike hitboxes: Spikes defeat your characters immediately upon contact, so prioritize clean leaps over speed when clearing dangerous pits.
- Reset quickly after mistakes: If an essential companion falls into a dead end, press the restart button right away to reset the room without penalty.

Each companion only collides with blocks matching their own color or shared neutral platforms, allowing one character to pass through walls that block the other.
Can I play Heart Star on a Chromebook or laptop?
